Md. Yeasin Ali is currently hold the position of assistant professor of the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management (AMM) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT), Dhaka, Bangladesh. His expertise with over 07 years of teaching, research and industrial experiences lies with the mission and vision of the department and as well as the university.
Mr. Ali obtained his M.Sc. in Textile Engineering degree from one of the reputed engineering university of Bangladesh, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) with first class first distinction. Before that he also completed his B.Sc. in Textile Engineering degree from the same university.
With excellence of academic records, he has years of experience from industrial field. Before joining BUFT, He worked in Paramount Textile Limited and directly contribute in the R&D filed of woven fabric manufacturing and engineering.
His research profile includes several recognized journal articles and contributions to the search of new knowledge in the field of applied science and engineering. He has also conducted several seminar as a keynote speaker for the development of student research learning. His research interests include natural fiber reinforced composite, nano-composite, smart materials, advanced light-weight composite materials, CNTs and graphene nano sheets, multi-functional composite materials, high performance textiles, management of solid waste and wastewater, etc.
Mr. Ali also worked for the development of students' extra and co-curricular activities. He served as an advisor of BUFT Merchandising Club for years and organized several training and seminar session. He is also a trainer of several post graduate diploma programs.
